Moments with Smitha Murthy || Moving with Qigong

Moments with Smitha Murthy || Moving with Qigong
Hosted by podcast@myndstories.com|June 20, 2022

In this episode, Smitha Murthy talks about how she discovered the ancient Chinese practice of Qigong and how it helped her in her anxiety and emotional wellness.

Smitha shares her experiences in being a pretty robotic individual with some very set practices and how Qigong gently showed her how to go with the flow - both in terms of exercise and life in general.

She didn’t go to a formal class, although you could try formal Qigong classes if you find them online or at a center close to you. Qigong is different from Tai Chi and although there are similarities to yoga, Smitha found Qigong more useful in alleviating her anxiety.

Smitha recommends:

1. Yoqi Yoga and Qigong: a free resource for mindfulness in motion - (619) Yoqi Yoga and Qigong - YouTube

Highly recommended for a quick mood boost is the Qigong Mood Lifter. This is a quick way to just feel a bit better - https://youtu.be/R1tpHKvjewI2.

Qigong Meditation: A channel created by Thich Man Tue or Brother Insight, who was born in Central Vietnam and is now a Qigong teacher for those at Deer Park Monastery, California.

Smitha recommends the 10 minute Qigong Daily Routine for Anxiety, Stress, and Fear - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KTXgggIdZ4

We hope you try these out!
