Samyukta Hornad || From struggles to triumphs: Samyukta Hornad's unfiltered take
Hosted by podcast@myndstories.com|April 24, 2023

Fame can be a double edged sword. People look up to you and you have a voice to make a difference. On the flip side, you are also opening yourself up to people’s judgements and criticisms.

How do you navigate through these things while staying true to yourself and be vulnerable? We explore this with Samyukta Hornad, who opens up about her life and acting journey.

We discuss

  1. How to be aware of and manage people’s perceptions vs. being herself.
  2. An incident back in college that changed her life and sparked her acting career.
  3. Forgiveness and closure.
  4. Finding her own sense of identity in the middle of juggling multiple identities on screen.
  5. How and what made her get involved in animal welfare.
  6. Finding romance.
  7. Her biggest lessons for emotional well-being.

Samyukta’s bio

Samyukta Hornad is an Indian actress who appears primarily in Kannada films. Her debut movie was Lifeu Ishtene directed by Pawan Kumar, which was a big commercial success. She is also known for her roles in Barfi (2011), Un Samayal Arayil (2014), and Oggarane (2014).

Apart from acting, she is an animal lover and founded the Praana Animal Foundation - a 24/7 dedicated ambulance service and helpline to tend to animals that are hurt or need immediate attention.
