Suniel Shetty launches new mental health app 'Lets Get Happi'
Written by Team MyndStories

Bollywood actor and investor Suniel Shetty has launched a new mental health app to provide 24/7 affordable care for Indians.

Called ‘Lets Get Happi,’ the app is the first from Veda Rehabilitation and Wellness, a chain of luxury mental health centers. Commenting on the launch, Manun Thakur, the founder and CEO of Veda, said that the app is the direct result of working to make mental health care more accessible in India. “We have offline centers for in-patient treatment and an online platform so that we can offer end-to-end care. I truly hope that we become the first super successful company that is built on kindness and empathy.”

The app allows users to connect with therapists and other mental health professionals at any time of the day. Options include chat, call, or video sessions. Importantly, in a country where affordability is often cited as a barrier for Indians turning to professional healthcare for mental well-being, Lets Get Happi has therapy sessions starting from as low as Rs 500.

“This app is a significant step in supporting people with mental health tools and online therapy so they can thrive in all aspects of their lives. There is a huge gap in the existing landscape of mental health support and Letsgethappi has a unique blend of inclusivity and provides a safe haven for users to seek anonymous support without the fear of any stigma or judgment. The App is our single-minded commitment to address the blindspot existing in the understanding and acceptance of the social aspects of mental health in India,” Shetty was quoted as saying in Mint.

India’s mental health app market is growing rapidly, fueled by increasing awareness and discussions around mental health. A report by UnivDatos Market Insights states that the global mental health apps market is expected to exceed $17.5 billion by 2030. India’s own mental health market is estimated at $3 billion, according to independent research by Blume Ventures.

Some other popular mental health apps in India include:

  • Evolve
  • Being
  • Wysa
  • Innerhour (Formerly Amaha)

The Lets Get Happi app is available for both Android and iOS and already has more than 16,000 downloads:
