Feeling overwhelmed? Stressed?

Immersing yourself in nature can be one of the simplest yet most rejuvenating ways to recharge.

This Saturday, February 22nd, from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, the serene Cooperage Bandstand Garden on Madame Cama Road, Mantralaya, Fort, South Mumbai, will host a Nature Picnic designed to help participants reconnect with themselves and the natural world. Led by Reshma Ashar, a psychologist with extensive experience in nature-based healing, this event is a refreshing escape.

The morning will begin with “shinrin-yoku“, the Japanese practice of forest bathing, which encourages participants to fully immerse themselves in nature, grounding their senses to the present moment.

Beyond forest bathing, the event will feature a series of thoughtfully curated activities, including:

  • Food for thought quest: A reflective journey to explore deeper meanings and insights.
  • Mindful steps treasure hunt: A fun, engaging way to stay present and appreciate the beauty of nature.
  • Sensory meditation: A practice to heighten awareness and connect with the environment through the senses.
  • Expressive cards: A creative tool to articulate emotions and experiences inspired by nature.

These activities are designed to foster mindfulness, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Whether you’re looking to unwind, reflect, or simply enjoy a peaceful morning outdoors, this event offers something for everyone.

The Nature Picnic is part of an ongoing series of nature-based healing initiatives, including “Healing Through Nature Walks” and “Nature Poetry Sessions,” which have helped many individuals find solace and inspiration through the power of nature and creativity.

Spaces are limited, so reserve your spot by filling out the form here: https://shorturl.at/Hoq4j.

Take a step back from the chaos of everyday life and join Reshma Ashar for a morning of mindfulness, connection, and healing.
