Evolve, an inclusive, LGBTQ-focused mental health startup, founded by Anshul Kamath and Rohan Arora in 2020, raised 3 crores in a funding round this month.

Lead investor Rajesh Ranavat, Executive Director at Fung Strategic Investments said to the The Economic Times that,

“In a short period of time, Evolve has built a very compelling mental health app which operates totally on an interactive AI platform enabling it to scale up at a global level.”

Ankit Mehrotra and Nikhil Bakshi, founders of Dineout, and senior global executives from Meta and McKinsey also participated in the funding round.

Evolve app, available on Google Play and App Store, helps users to improve their mental health by scientifically proven techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). With over 250,000 users globally, Evolve’s team has partnered with queer-affirmative therapists and professionals to understand the needs of the LGBTQ community, who are at higher risk for mental health issues.

The app has received a 4.8 rating on Google Play and in 2021, Google Play declared it the Best App for Personal Growth.

“Our plans are to use the funds we have now secured to expand the core team at Evolve and invest in building a world-class product that continues to provide individual and collective safe spaces for users around the world,” said Kamath to The Economic Times.
